Our family of three adults and two children thoroughly enjoyed 1105 Dunside Villas. The unit is spacious, colorful and clean. Plenty of room for up to six persons. Easy, direct boardwalk access to the beach. The Cougar Point course is within walking distance, as are the West Beach Village markets and shops. Kiawah's other courses are within 15 muntes drive with the exception of the Ocean Course (20 - 25 minutes). 1105 Duneside is very vertical in layout, which was fine for us, but could pose difficulties for guests challenged by stairs. Appliances and TVs were of good quality, as is the wireless internet connection. Combination DVD/VCR player can stand to be upgraded at some point; we were eventually able to program the remote but its a bit 'old tech' relative to the other components. Parking is snug. One of the unit's two spaces is close to the front door, the other is down the lane a bit. Watch-out for bird droppings from the overhanging trees. Close the sun-roof! Unit does not have an outdoor grill, as these are not allowed at Kiawah's multi-unit housing complexes. During our stay (April 2008), Duneside Villas, in general, was invavded each day by an army of contractors making repairs, renovating entire units, etc. Though numerous, the contractors were unobstrusive and did their best to work quietly.
